The Beauty of the Vale of York a great growing basin of land, The Wolds and moors with abundance of game and animals. The Dales with the best Dairy products and fantastic Beers and Cheese not forgetting the rivers,lakes and sea with its festival of seasonal fare, we shall cook a menu suitable for a fantastic Lunch, Dinner or Supper for friends. Here is an example of what you could be cooking.

Smoked Whitby Haddock & Lemon Cake
Wensleydale & Red Onion  Risotto Cakes
Yorkshire Dexter Beef & Jerverux Blue Cheese Pie
Barnsley Chops & Olive Tepanade
Toad in the Hole with Black Sheep Gravy
Roasted Whitby Cod with Mussel Broth
Yorkshire Rhubarb Crepes

The day starts with morning tea and coffee in the demo kitchen, followed by the demonstartion of all the dishes we will be cooking. Full hands on cooking through out the day. Lunch is all the gorgeous dishes which are demonstrated. All the dishes you create you take home to showcase your beautiful dishes and new found skills

Also during the day we will demonstrate                                                              Knife sharpening and knife skills.                                                                                                                                                       Seasoning and balancing flavours.
Kitchen know-how, handy hints and proven shortcuts.

IMG_1173Its Great British Baking time of year and we love nothing more than creating spectacular cakes pastries & breads, sweet delectable mouthwatering bites of heaven , The precision and science which creates the most wonderful baked goods, you will love baking in our spectacular kitchens using old and new baking techniques and recipes. All your beautiful bakes will be going home with you. Todays bakes are,

Raspberry meringue roularde
Chocolate & cardomom tart
Stromboli bread
We have a warm welcome waiting for you, we greet you with morning coffe,tea and cake in the demo kitchen where we introduce ourselves and run through the day with you. We demonstrate the days recipes in the morning and you will bake followed by lunch, all recipe cards are supplied and everyone has their own kitchen to create gorgeous bakes, pastries and bread. We strive to give you an amazing day cooking in a relaxed and fun atmosphere in a stunning modern cookery school

Today  is for the older children who have a little kitchen know-how and want to externd their cookery skills to the next level, we will use local seasonal produce to create fabulous dishes from scratch, and hone new  techniques ,cookery , knife skills, seasoning ,balanacing and timings to create amazing dishes . Tknifeshis course is a must for the budding chef.

Age 12 -16 years old.

Parents can stay or  go adventuring along the coast or on the moors. While the children get down to some serious cooking.
